Published a new short story on my Substack page titled El Jinete de la Muerte [The Rider of Death]. It is based on a story that is tied to lore here in the Southwest of the U.S.
One of the things we talked about at my horror panel at the Tucson Comic Con was working on more horror stories that take place in the Southwest [Arizona/New Mexico]. So in my research I discovered a story about The Red Ghost, which was said to be a large figure that allegedly roamed the Arizona frontier in the late 19th Century. It was said to be a large red camel with a bleached human skeleton on its back.
So, I took that legend and wrote a story based on that. So here is my short story, El Jinete de la Muerte, originally published on my Substack page.
